This show has taken over my life…it is AMAZING. I am totally in love with Tony Goldwin, Kerry Washington is beyond fabulous. And the icing on the cake? Kate Burton is the VP!! Seriously, between Scandal and General Hospital (My first TV obsession), Elizabeth and Richard are a major part of both (E was Helena Cassadine on GH, Richard’s daughter is Sally Langston on Scandal), even if by extension. Such a weird, yet fitting coincidence.
Have I mentioned what a great actress Kate is? She is fantastic!! Even her voice sounds like the female equivalent of Richard’s. It’s eerie but it makes me happy…I know he’d be so proud of her.

As I watch the red carpet program on E!, I can’t help but be sad. No one can EVER EVER EVER come close to the grace, beauty and TALENT that was Elizabeth Taylor. She truly was remarkable and none of today’s celebrities are contenders. It’s pathetic.

Claire Bloom is a liar...too.
I call BS on this - from what I understand, Richard ended up hating Claire Bloom after filming “Spy”:
“In 1984, 20 years after their affair ended and just months before his death, Burton passed on his ‘undying love’ for Bloom via a mutual friend. However, he had not been chastely waiting for her. During a 30-year period of his life, Burton was reckoned to be sleeping with three women a week. “
Between this twat and that other vile witch Sally Hay, it seems no one will ever let my Elizabeth and Richard rest in peace. Stop the lies!! It is also my firm belief that Richard did NOT sleep around or cheat on ET until the Bluebeard fiasco. Call me crazy, but I just think he was too obsessed with her to do that.
In other words (or Elizabeth’s), my response to all the haters: F*ck off!

I keep thinking how I was robbed of seeing this beautiful couple arrive on the red carpet. No matter how famous anyone is today, they’ll never touch these two. This is the real deal and I just can’t get excited about any other ‘star’ - they all pale in comparison

Poor Kate. I know how I felt about the exploitation of Elizabeth and Richard, I can’t begin to imagine how she felt/feels. She sounds like such a lovely woman, Richard would be so PROUD. And she’s still close to Elizabeth’s children, which makes me so very happy. She calls it “Team Richard and Team Elizabeth” - GO TEAM!!

As always, Elizabeth Taylor was right.
I predicted this would happen from DAY ONE. I knew “liz & dick” was going to bomb and with good reason. You DO NOT produce a television movie based on tabloid smut on a trashy-movie channel and all the while insult two legends with the so-called title. If Lindsay played a fictional character in a story that had nothing to do with Elizabeth Taylor, then she would be looked at seriously and much more kindly by the general public. The fact of the matter is, this failed on every level for all involved because it was wrong to make this in principle: it’s a blatant insult to Elizabeth and Richard, the story is full of lies, and most importantly it’s a damnation to Elizabeth since she stopped so many of these projects while she was alive. People say Lindsay was setup to fail because the role was beyond her ability; I disagree - no one can live up to Elizabeth’s legend and it’s infuriating that Lilo had the audacity to think she could. In short, Lindsay was the only actress to take the part since no one else would (she begged for it, she said it herself) and did it to get attention for herself. She did not give one iota if the project was offensive to Elizabeth’s memory, Elizabeth’s family or Elizabeth’s fans. She cared about herself and that was it. Let’s not forget that she TRASHED Elizabeth’s trailer from Cleopatra during the production of this. Remember that? Her actions speak louder than words.
If this had not been about Elizabeth Taylor, then I would feel bad for Lindsay. I would. But my first devotion is to my idol, Elizabeth. She deserves better than this.
